Hola!
Since I've gotten a few "are you alive?!" inquiries recently, I wanted to pop in and say: I am, in fact, alive! Just the last month has been insanely busy, between things exploding (not literally) at work and a good friend having major scary surgery (he's recovering well, YAY) and lots and lots and LOTS of travel. I keep thinking I'll have time to post, and then I don't, and the longer I'm away the guiltier I feel and the weirder it feels to post out of nowhere, etc etc etc.
BUT. Thank you all for the birthday greetings, they were very very much appreciated (especially since I haven't been around for a while). I spent the day watching baby matadors training, and watching Mr. McK get into super-hot (training) knife fights, and discovering that it's an absolutely terrible idea to attempt to find a specific restaurant in Seville without a map (even if it is close to SEVERAL MAJOR LANDMARKS), and ultimately having a very lovely and VERY late dinner with good friends we don't get to see very often. So it was an excellent day, all things considered. As you can probably infer from the preceding, I am currently in Spain, land of many beautiful and fascinating and awesome things, and also of the most frustrating road and street system KNOWN TO MAN OMFG. But as long as we're not driving, it's been lovely, and we will be back home in a few days, after which time I expect to return to more or less my normal life, and then I'll be able to catch up with you wonderful people, and bore you all with tales of my insane travel adventures, and it will all be business as usual.
In the meantime: thank you again for the lovely birthday wishes, and for inquiring about my existence, and I miss you guys, and I will be back to bore you all soon!
