I am behind on comments! Specifically on Deadwood flailing! But I will get there, I swear! I have a lot of Deadwood flailing!
In the meantime, though, in honor of the fact that I just FINALLY uploaded a Booth/Brennan icon (it is HARD TO CHOOSE, they are so adorable and hot all the time!): does anyone know when the new season of Bones starts? I have looked around but I cannot find it, and I am REALLY EXCITED for this and I MUST KNOW. (This is my most-anticipated fall show, as it turns out. Who knew?! But it's especially awesome that Mr. McK and I enjoy it pretty much equally, particularly because he is starting to get annoyed at the level of hijinx on Leverage and I'm getting more reluctant to watch it with him because DO NOT INFRINGE ON MY GLEE AT THAT SHOW, MAN. IT IS A SACRED THING.)
My keywords for that icon, BTW? "Get a room." Because SERIOUSLY. GET A ROOM.
Speaking of which, I would like to present to you a short comparison study, titled Guitarists and the Singers Who Have No Personal Space With Them. Observe:
So
lordnelson100 posted this yesterday:
(That would be David Cook and his lead guitarist, Neal Tiemann.) I don't know if this is from the Seattle show or not (though it very well could be, judging by their shirts), but there WAS a moment very much like that at our show, and from the front, it reminded me a hell of a lot of this:
Only presumably without the simmering background super-angst. (These don't strike me as
super-angsty boys. Heee.) AWWWWWWW. So cute! I have high hopes for a happy ending!
ALSO, in case you are interested, here is
some excellent video of Cook's cover of Little Lies from the show the other night, which encapsulates basically everything I loved about that experience: the sparkly plaid shirt, the grinning, the flirting, the mic-stand-molesting, the inexplicably attractive sweat, the sexy intensity, the crowd interaction, the part at 3:09 where he raises his eyebrows and the crowd goes nuts, even a brief guitar solo from Neal--EVERYTHING. It was SUCH GOOD TIMES. *bounces* I actually made a deliberate decision this year to go to more live music events, and I'm so, so, SO glad I did, they make me SO HAPPY. (Thanks to
zabira, who has been dropping these Cook links in my inbox since yesterday, and to
sdwolfpup, who very obligingly agreed to snag them for me this morning, since I can't access YT from work and I got home too late last night to watch and I NEEEEEEEEEEEEDed them. Heee. Dedicated, patient friends FTW!)
And lest you think that I need to look far to find talented musicians, I give you the following song that Mr. McK was singing in the shower this morning, inspired by the box of
Fruity Bunnies he ate for dinner last night:
They're fruity, they're bunnies
They're fruity and they're bunnies
They're fruity fruity fruity fruity buuuuuuuunnieeeeeeeees
GENIUS, right? ♥
Oh, and also, this quote from a Seattlest
article about Huskies football: "In practice he's being constantly double-teamed but is still getting good penetration. (Ed: That's what she said.)" *dies* Seriously, football jargon is just ENDLESSLY gay, I cannot get over it.
