That's a lot of heart, Bones.
So, I am behind on comment replies, and therefore I really should not be posting, BUT. I had a shitty day yesterday, and it's actually been a fairly shitty week (kidney stones: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM), but I am not posting about that, I am posting about how my day was very sad yesterday until I watched BONES and seriously, when you have Dr. Temperance Brennan on your TV screen waving her fingers at a baby and going, "DANCING PHALANGES!" while Booth sits nearby and draws heart-filled castles in the air about how they are totally going to live in a little house by the river and have a million babies, because there is a part of him that is entirely a TEENAGE GIRL… it is REALLY HARD to remain sad. (Also, David Boreanaz with a baby? NEVER NOT AWESOME.)
GOD. I really love this show. And then we watched the following episode, about Max's trial, and oh my god my HEART. Just… the whole Brennan family and Brennan pitted against her team (sniffle!) and Angela refusing to testify (ANGELA HOW ARE YOU SO AWESOME) and Brennan and Booth still COMPLETELY BFF despite everything and "That's a lot of heart, Bones" (you know how sometimes you literally kind of go *SWOON* inside, like where you can actually feel your heart dropping into your stomach? this show makes me *SWOON* all the time) and HUGGING and FAMILY and TEAM and YAY. S3 has had a different flavor than the first two seasons-like they somehow got hit with the same wacky stick that hit due South between seasons 2 and 3 (except that the Bones wacky stick was presumably not named Executive Producer Paul Gross)-and that's taken some getting used to (though I'm still really enjoying the show), but those couple of episodes? AWESOME. And in entirely different ways, too, which is even more awesome.
And the thing is, I am totally all about TEEEEEAM shows right now (see also: Leverage, and of course Flashpoint, and Chuck, etc. etc.) and Bones does an amazing job with that. I have been scouring for fic to get my fix during the long hours of the day when I can't watch episodes, and I will VERY happily read fic about ANY of the characters. They've created such a strong ensemble and their relationships are all interesting and believable, and it makes me so happy. I want fic about how Brennan and Angela became best friends! And Hodgins and Zack hanging out at the mansion! And Booth and Angela and how they flirt all the time and each are totally aware of how the other one is hot like wasabi and yet have no actual romantic interest in each other (IMO)! And of course fic about Booth and Brennan making out because they SO NEED TO, but seriously, they PRACTICALLY make out in about EVERY SINGLE EPISODE now (Mr. McK, as they leeeeeean toward each other in the diner YET AGAIN: "They have no personal space!" heeee), so, you know. The show does a pretty good job there.*g* Especially in S3, which has been a lot of "Booth and Brennan's friends try to get them to make out, and in their spare time, they fight crime." Heeeeee. SO AWESOME. And I love them all SO MUCH-I seriously cannot think of a single semi-regular character I even mildly dislike-but especially Brennan, who I just adore beyond adoration. I read this fic the other day that was basically all about the things that Booth adores about Brennan, and I just sat there with a gooshy smile on my face the whole time, because BRENNAN. I LOVE HER, TOO, BOOTH. *dreamy sigh*
Anyway. It's making me happy! And I just wanted to share. DAAAAAANCING PHALANGES! *cannot stop giggling*
Also? I really enjoyed SPN. I'm still chewing things over, so don't really have much to say about it at the moment besides, "Oh, Winchesters," but I really enjoyed it!
In conclusion, this article has been making me laugh ever since I read it last night. So many things about that are amazing, I just don't even know.
