Take it home, boys

To whom it may concern: I got my free copy of Driven magazine in the mail yesterday. It had a pretty hot guy on the cover. Great success! (I hope Mr. McK enjoys the slew of random men's magazines we are likely to receive as a result of now being on whatever mailing lists we're on.) More importantly, there is an interview inside, and it is quite enjoyable! If you're into such things. We're having issues with our scanner at home, but I'll try to type up the article as soon as I can. (May not be till after DS Match is over, but… we shall see!) There's not anything really new in it--the Headstones were awesome, Flashpoint is awesome, Durham County is awesome, Midori is awesome, everyone Hugh has ever worked with is awesome--but it's Hugh being Hugh, so I dug it. Also the interviewer mentions having a lot of trouble fitting Joe Dick and Ed Lane into his head at the same time, and I sympathize entirely. Hee.

Conversation from my house last night, as I was tearing open the envelope:

Mr. McK: Why did you order that?
Me: Hugh's on the cover of it, and…
Mr. McK: Oh my god. I just want you to know, I've never bought a magazine just because it had hot pictures of someone I liked in it.
Me: I didn't buy it; it was free. And besides, I've already seen the pictures, I just wanted the article.

I READ IT FOR THE ARTICLES. True fact! (Actually, this is really true: if anyone wants the actual magazine when I'm done with it, speak up-I have nowhere to put it, and it would just get smashed up and/or eventually recycled. malnpudl, you get first dibs if you're interested, but otherwise, first come, first served.)

Also, it was really hard to find a quote from "Roadpops" that someone has not already used as the title of a post about that magazine cover. Hee.

Speaking of articles, did you know that those really hot pictures of Paul Gross that have been making the rounds also came with a really hot interview with Paul Gross? Well, they did! zabira sent me the PDF of the interview last week, and I thought I should share it here, because it's a fantastic interview. I'm also including the Letter From the Editor because it says nice things about Paul (and some interesting things about the Canadian arts scene, though nothing that hasn't been said before in reference to Passchendaele). In higher-res or lower-res JPEGs:

Hi-res: Letter From the Editor, Interview Page 1, Interview Page 2, Interview Page 3

Lo-res: Letter From the Editor, Interview Page 1, Interview Page 2, Interview Page 3

And if anyone needs even higher resolution stuff for some reason, let me know and I'll do my best. Again, though, it might not be till after DS Match.

Enjoy!

i am a sad sad fangirl, oh paul
