First thing of win:
aerye, I got your package! EEEEEEE! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!
Second thing of win: The
DS Match Icon Challenge is rocking my socks. You guys are AMAZING. Keep 'em coming, there's still plenty of time!
First thing of "huh?": My dog actually did not want to go to the dog park yesterday, for the first time EVER. It went like this:
Me (standing by open car door): C'mon! Let's go to the park!
Merc (standing on porch): *stares*
Me: C'mon! PARK!
Merc: *staaaaares*
Me: Don't you want to go to the park?
Merc: *turns around, goes back inside, and collapses on cool linoleum*
Okay then! Just as well, because I did not really want to go out in the 90-degree heat, either. But I hope it was the heat that was dissuading him, and not the traumatic bath experience we had at the dog park the previous weekend (they installed one of those Doggie Car Wash things there recently, and we tried it last week, and it did not go well--he HATES baths like BURNING). I think it was the heat, though. And he just finished consuming his annual Birthday Steak, which he devoured with great gusto and much nomnomnom. He's THREE. Man, there are many times I've thought neither of us would live to see this day. Hee.
Second thing of "huh?":
This article about Flashpoint. (Hi, I am getting REALLY excited for Flashpoint. In case anyone was wondering. I really hope it doesn't suck. KEITH MARS AND JOE DICK FIGHT CRIME.) Hugh was allegedly on the call for this interview, and yet there is not a single quote from him in the entire article. I'm not bothered by this or anything--it's an interesting article, and the description of Hugh's character had a devastating effect on my ovaries--but I am extremely boggled. How could that possibly have come to pass? Was he sleeping? Was his phone on mute? Did someone tape his mouth shut? Did all those years working with Callum and Trent make him forget how to be interviewed with people who also like to talk? And most importantly, if you do an interview with Hugh Dillon and don't quote anything he says, did the interview actually happen?
It's also occurring to me that I haven't heard anything from Hugh in all the press for this show. Again: how is that working? I mean, this is Hugh Dillon, Quote Machine. Is he cultivating a new mysterious persona? Is he too busy saying "THIS is Comics 101" in as threatening a tone as possible (seriously, does anyone else expect him to append "BITCH" there, or is it just me)? Or is he just really, really busy workshopping 45s?
Yeah, that's what I'm going with.
