A question and a statement.

Hi! I have two important things to discuss right now. Firstly, please to ticky the tickyboxes below if you would be interested in helping me man the registration table at bitchinparty. My plan/hope is to have at least two, and possibly three (including me) people manning (or woman-ing, as the case may be) the table at all times, in hour-long shifts, so that no one has to sit there alone, and no one gets irrevocably tied there. So. Tickies please, if that sounds like it might be your thing! I'm hoping that enough people will volunteer that no one will have to be there longer than an hour.

Poll Registrate good times, come on!

Also, I would just like to announce that I have been stricken nigh unto death with a sudden and devastating attack of Jeffrey Foucault love. Partially precipitated by the fabulous performance of his lovely and amazing (and six months pregnant! OMG! I am so much happier for them than I should be for two people I don't know at all!) wife at the Tractor Tavern last Sunday, but mostly by the fact that at about 1 this morning I got frustrated with trying to keep Joe and Fraser talking and I decided that I would do a YouTube search for Jeff (yes, I totally get to call him Jeff), and OMG! There were videos! And I watched them and they made me really insanely happy at 1 in the morning! Some particular highlights:

Northbound 35, with Kris singing backup, and another version with Eric Heywood on pedal steel
4 & 20 Blues
Tall Grass In Old Virginny and One Part Love (with bonus between-songs banter, which he does so very well, and I don't know what exactly it is about this video, but he sounds exceptionally good here)

and then Redbird doing a rendition of White Freightliner Blues (and if this does not make you smile, watching them all have such a damn good time together, I honestly don't know what to say to you, plus David Goodrich's solo is awesome)

I just. I DO NOT understand why he is not wildly famous, or at least moderately famous. Most beautiful lyrics I have ever heard, ever. As well as charisma and musicianship and intelligence and a host of other good things, but at the end of the day? MOST BEAUTIFUL LYRICS I HAVE EVER HEARD. EVER. *helplessly adoring sigh*

OK, just needed to get that out there.
