Another ending
So my trip is pretty close to being over. It's been a long but fun week. I've had the chance to see lots of people and do lots of stuff. Where did I leave off on the last post? I think I was just leaving the Orlando Sun Resort.
So on the 1st Matt picked me up at the hotel and drove me over to All-Star Sports, which is actually not bad at all. It's really colourful and I actually like it. I'll never speak badly of this place again. Anyways, after I got all checked in Matt and I went and ate lunch in the food court. After that we went to MGM and met Joey. We watched the last showing of the Hollyday Parade. Then we ran over to coaster and rode once. They were holding the High School Musical show in the Fantasmic Courtyard cause they had the left over lights from New Years eve in front of the hat. Matt just had to have pictures of that so he made us go up there and watch it. Then he made us stand there while the took floaty thingy off stage. We finally left sometime before five. We then headed over to IKEA and met Ryan, Jimmy and Kyle. IKEA is new to the area and the love of all of their lives. This was Matt's first visit. It looked exactly the same as the one in Coquitlam, but whatever. It was fun.
Then Matt, Joey and I went to Target and I ran around having a blast because I love me some Target. I got snacks and a DVD.
Wednesay I had my Disney interview in the morning. No news yet. Don't bother asking.
That afternoon Joey and I went to MK to ride the refurbished Haunted Mansion. The park was grossly busy. We stood in like forever for HM, longest line I've ever seen for that ride too. We didn't stay in the park long after that because it was absolutely freezing. We went someplace I don't remember the name of for dinner. Then he dropped me off back at home.
Thursday I was going to hang out with Liz but she had car trouble. And Joey was going to meet up with me and he also had car trouble. Must be going around. lol. I ended up going to DAK by myself. I just wandered around and took it in. I went on Safari and Everest. It was actually kind of nice. Whenever I'm with other people I always feel like I"m responsible for whether or not they are enjoying themselves and I don't get to enjoy everything. It was nice being able to stand in line for Safari for an hour and not have to feel guilty for making other people do so. lol.
After that I went back to my hotel then was heading to Downtown Disney when Matt called. We met there and then we went for Dinner at Chilis. After that we went to the Prime Outlets for starbucks but ended up walking around. He got a watch at Fossill.
Yesterday I met Claire downtown. We went for lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express. I mad Mac and Cheese and it was yummy. After that we shopped around. We thought her 40% holiday discount was in affect, but apprently it didn't start til today, so we didn't end up buying anything. We came back to the hotel and then I showed her my room. Then we went to the bus and she went to Epcot to work and I went to MGM. I went over to coaster to see if I could find anyone I knew. I saw a few people I knew, which was awesome.
Then I went to Great Movie Ride because I wanted to see the new costumes and also it was indoors and therefor warm. Matt called whilst I was just starting my 'tour'. So he met me when I got off and we went to his place so he could get changed out of his costume. Then we went to Florida Mall so he could return something to the apple store. We had dinner in the foodcourt then he drove me back to property. That was around 830. He left me at Virgin Megastore cause I wanted to check out what was there. Almost bough Xandadu, but then realized that I almost bought Xanadu.
I called scotty bout quarter to and we agreed to meet at Magic Kingdom. We met there and had some Dole Whip then rode Big Thunder. Ryan ended up calling to see if we wanted to get some food. So him and Jimmy picked us up and we went to T.G.I.Fridays. Kyle, Ryan Kraska and John also met us there. Then it was home and to bed.
Today me, Kyle, Scotty and a girl I just met, who works at coaster, went to Universal. We started off at Universal Studios. Did the Mummy, MIB, The Beatlejuice show and the Terminator Show. We also ate some really really good pizza. Then we headed over to IOA and did the rounds. We started on the Hulk, then had some food while Scotty went off to the 'water' rides. He did the raft one and got soaked. Then Jurassic was a five minute wait so we went on that one. It's technically a water ride, but I never usually get that wet on it, so I was like, whatever. Well how things change. I got soaked. My jeans, my shirt, my sweatshirt, my hair. I got the worst of it. And it was cold outside. So for like an hour or more I was v. uncomfortable. After I dried off as much as possible we went to Dueling Dragons and rode ICE. Then me, Claire and Kyle went off and did Spiderman while the other two did the Fire side of DD. They met us after and we did the Hulk once more. Then the park was closed. It was a terrifically fun day and I'm so glad we got to go. Sure it was a bit cold, it rained, and I got drenched, it was tons of fun.
We ended up getting out of Universal around 8 then went to Cold Stone Creamery for some icecream. OMG. good. I haven't been there since a cruise me and my parents did in like 2002. I know they are all over the place, but I never get a chance to go. I had something with cookie dough. yummm.
Then it was back to the All Star for me and Claire. She's staying here tonight. We went to the foodcourt and got some food and then came back to the room and watched some TV. Now she is asleep and I'm finsihing this up before crashing myself.
This thing is probably stack full of typos and randomness. I'm sorry, but I'm tired and I'm writing at an odd angle. I don't feel like going back through it to make it readable. Make do.
Tomorrow is my last day. I'm sad. I hate leaving this place and I really don't want to go back to school. Of course I like to see my home poeple, but you can't blame me for missing this place like crazy. Happiness is Disney, well some of the time at least.
Claire and I are going to shop for my merchandise tomorrow. Then I think we'll do the studios so I can see the Osbourne Lights. Then hopefully a group outing after Park close to some place Jimmy likes.
Tomorrow is the last official day of Disney-MGM Studios. On the 7th it is Disney Hollywood Studios. They've started changing all the signs. It's sad. The end of an era. To think anyone born after 2000 will probably never know,or remember MGM, it's just wierd. I know it's just a name, but it's more. It's home.
I have to go now. My hands are getting sore from typing.
