It's been a long while since my last post. Since then Christmas has come and gone. It barely seems like it happened. It was a great christmas, but at the same time, it didn't feel like Christmas. I think it was because I was working right across it. I've never had to work over Christmas before and it was, well, not my favourite thing in the world. Instead of being out there and enjoying the season I was trapped folding clothes and fake smiling at hurried shoppers.
The good news is that I'm off to Florida for ten days the day after tomorrow. I'm so excited because I can't wait to see everyone, but I'm also nervous because I'm going out there all on my own.
Christmas was excellent. I got lots of great stuff. The digital camera I have been asking for for months. A bluetooth headset for my cell phone. A Belkin lap cushion for my computer. DVDS: Season 2 of How I Met Your Mother, Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, Armaggedon, EDTV and season five of Charmed. I got a make-up brush set. A Grey's Anatomy Game. A pretty mirror thingy. A book. Some money. And a scarf and toque that I really really wanted.
I have officially quit my job and am now done. It's a bit of a relief, just because it was starting to stress me out. I liked working there and I liked lots of the people, but the job just didn't really fit me.
Boxing day sales were good to me. I got two new shirts from Bootlegger yesterday that I really wanted. I also got a really great umbrella for half price. Then today I went power shopping after work and found the matching gloves to my scarf and toque. I also got a pair of jeans. They were full price but necessary. This morning I was putting on my favourite jeans, the ones I've worn like every day for months and they finally gave out and ripped. I was pissed. Especially since I didn't have any other jeans to take to Florida with me. So I bought some other jeans at Bluenotes. I know, interesting eh?
My five year old cousin just invented a brand new insult, unknowingly of course. Evidentally she came up to my aunt and said "Don't Know rhymes with Asshole".clearly she has no idea how it means but I liked it. So next time you ask someone a question and they don't know, just say that.
Off to Disney in two days! Yay. Can't wait.
