Day Four- Gimme More

We got up around 9 this morning and caught the tram over to property. I'm always a little awed by Disney, this morning was no exception. Oh my god we're here, I squealed at Tabitha, hoping she shared my excitement.

Unfortunately my glee was marred bv one small fact. This place is insane. Not cool insane, but crowded insane. I guess after trip after trip to WDW, and working there two summers, I'd come to understand the ebb and flow of its crowds, and had stupidly projected those expectations on Disneyland. I was wrong. The crowds we met yesterday felt quite akin to a July 4th in Magic Kingdom. Every line was at least an hour, it was a nightmare just to meanuever your way around, and even waiting for food was a process.

We headed for Space Mountain first only to find it 101 (shut down). Hoping it would come back up, we bided our time by goin on Buzz Lightyear. My score kicked tabithaq's score's ass. Dad's was twice that.

Space Mountain was open when we headed back. The line was a bit long, but we waited it out. I'm still not sure how I feelt about the redone track. I guess I'm a sucker for the old rickety track at WDW (RIP). This smooth one was great, but I guess it took the originalness away for me. Still an awesome ride tho. Oh and I miss the tiny one by one cars. Did they ever have those here anyways? Will they still be in Florida? Only time will tell.

We had lunch after all this. Found a great mexican place in adventureland. I had a burrito.

After lunch we tried our hand at Pirates. Long line there too. Awesome ride tho. So much better than Florida. Just much longer and scenic I guess.

Haunted Mansion after that. Not sure why I expected it to be different from FL, but it wasn't after all. Just the outside and the elevator were different. Then we hit up Jungle Cruise.

After this we headed out of the park and over to Downtown Disney to get our rental car from Alamo. We'd ordered a Midsize Sedan. Somehow we walked out of there with a Mustang. I suppose the girl must have really liked us? Because I'm pretty sure Mustangs aren't on par with pontiacs?

We drove over to Target to get some stuff. Snacks and water. Some radios. Then back to the hotel for an hour rest.

Back in the car an hour later and drove to the evil giant (Bestbuy) so Dad could look for this game he's been hunting for. Then we went back to Downtown Disney and had dinner at Rainforest Cafe. Yummy. And awesome because we have Safari club and bypassed the 1.5 hour wait.

After dinner Dad decided to go back to the hotel so Tabi and I went back to DL. We rode Space Mountain once. The crowds were still angry and thick, so it was hard to get on anything. We ended up meeting this family on our way to Autotopia. They had a fastpass for 6 and were only three, so invited us in line with them. They were nice. A disney obsessed son who asked me everything there was to know about DisneyWorld.

Autotopia ended up shutting down just as we got to the head of the line. So us and the family went over and Fast Passed onto Space Mountain.

After that Tabi and I headed for Adventureland to ride Indiana Jones. It was down so we opted for a snack. When we went back it was open and it was awesome. Love that ride so much. Still my favorite of all. Of all the uniforms in all the DL parks, the Indiana Jones one is the hottest on males. Women get the short end of the stick there tho. Not really fair there.

We caught the shuttle back to our hotel and made it in by midnight.  Great day. Only bad thing came from a pair of capris I bought from Rickis. They have this seem down the back that irritated me all night. When I got home the backs of my thighs looked and felt sunburt. Not fun.

More tomorrow.
