[Bryn found the alcohol.
How she managed to only discover it only now was a mystery. After all, she had gone through several buildings and rooms of the Keep during the last month or so. It wasn't as if she wasn't passably familiar with the layout of her new environment

Looks like he's not the only one either, but when he sees who it is he does a double take. Bryn?
...No, just another look alike just like the others.]
I recommend da whiskey.

Of course, what concerns her more is all the bandages she's sporting. Eyes large with concern, she takes a hesitant step forward.]
Thank you for the suggestion of course but...are you alright? Do you need some help?

Wid what? Drinkin'? Relax I t'ink I can handle it.
[Kevas smirks and his tone is playful. Why is he not surprised to find her again in a bar?]
Don't worry, dese just be some scratches.

She looks him over with some doubt when he says they're just scratches, but not one to overstep her boundaries, she drops it.]
If you say so.
[She pauses a moment, then offers him a small smile.]
My name is Bryn, by the way.

I be Kevas.
[Kevas dips into a bow, ignoring the burning from his back as he does so.]
It be a pleasuh to meetcha Bryn.

There's no need for that...please sit. I'd hate for your bandages to come loose or something...
[Or for him to you know, bleed out and die in front of her. That would not be so great.]
Are you...well, may I ask what you are exactly?

[Kevas can't help but smile as he talks to her. This is Bryn but she's so much more...innocent. It's really rather cute.
He doesn't take a seat quite yet, instead grabbing a bottle of vodka beforehand.]
I be likin' to call myself a gentlemon, but I don't t'ink dat be whatchu be aftah.
[He pops the top off the bottle and takes a sip.]
I be a troll.

Her eyes pop wider (if even possible) and she covers her mouth with her fingertips with the sudden realization...]
Oh my gosh, I hope I didn't offend you I just, I've never seen anyone like you before and there are so many different people and such...I'm so sorry Kevas.

[He likes Sollux and Nepeta and everything but they don't count.]

Oh good, I'm glad to hear that. It's not exactly anything that I was instructed with how to handle such a thing tactfully. It's...not done.
[Wait, she really doesn't want to talk about her family. At all.]
So, whiskey. Is that something good for a beginner? I haven't actually had anything before...

[There's really not much Kevas wants to hide anymore anyway. His past is exactly that, his past. That's not something he wants to worry about hiding anymore.]
Dat be so? Well it be good as anytin' else. Liquah be liquah. It gonna getchu drunk. First t'ing my faddah gave me as vodka.
[Speaking of which, he'll have another sip of that.]

So you would say...vodka or whiskey for a first try then?
[She couldn't take his bottle, so Bryn set about to look for another of either. Perhaps whichever she found first, that way she wouldn't have to decide...]

Try a sip of dem both and see which one joo be likin' more.

Thank you.
[She picks up one and tentatively takes a sip. It's smooth, and burns at the same time. A strange taste that makes her throat constrict just a bit. Eyes wide, she stares at Kevas.]
That was...surprising!
Reply
[Kevas watches her reaction and chuckles.]
But not bad right?
Reply
I suppose not, but the burning sensation is not something I expect to get used to quickly.
[She doesn't finish that shot, but picks up the second glass and tries it. The whiskey definitely burns more, and she coughs and sputters inelegantly before setting the shot down.]
I'm not sure I liked that one as much.
