spa day.
funny story.
ryan and i recently came across gift certificates for a spa day that were given to us for christmas NINE YEARS AGO, and we used them today. i don't know why we never used them before - it was soooo wonderful. shirley and my mom took ellie while ryan and i enjoyed a good four hours of pampering. i don't know if they were truly the best spa treatments i've ever received or just that i was so badly in need of them, but i enjoyed the hell out of them. i enjoyed them like i've never enjoyed anything before.
ellie was good for her grandmas, too, which was just icing on the happy saturday cake. they took her for a walk around lake chabot and she stayed chill the whole time! we returned to find her happy as a clam propped up on the couch playing with her toys, just like at home. she even took good naps and was asleep by eight.
it was a wonderful day <3
