Last night was probably one of my favorite nights in the city.
Started out taking the LIRR from deer park... got into the city and went directly to Peanut Butter and co. (Reason number 3598724 that NYC rocks -- a whole restaurant devoted to peanut butter... also went to pommes frites once -- a restaurant devoted to french fries with a million kinds of dipping sauces to choose from -- sooo good)
I ordered the bagel nosh (bagel with their homemade peanut butter, raspberry jam and vanilla cream cheese).. smarty me ordered skim milk with it -- i love peanut butter with milk. Bac got the Elvis, comprised of peanut butter, honey, bananas, and bacon on toasted bread. If it didn't have honey or banana, I would have liked it more...
We unfortunately weren 't able to see the movie we had planned on at Sunshine (my fave theatre in the city -- thanks BAC!) 'cause it was sold out, so we just headed to the Library -- my fave little dive bar. I hadn't been there in a long time, but last time i was there, the bartender, for some odd reason, put her phone number in my phone... We walked in, and there she was... she at least pretended to remember me, and she poured us some strong-ass drinks... two-fers.. I love it. Talked to some hilarious guy with an afro and a handmade shirt that said "Mr. Destroyer" -- after a bit, he told me what he destroys, ", politicians, and anything else that pisses me off..." I think he's a superhero... last night was his off night, I hope, 'cause he was obliterated.
The bartender directed us to a place to get corndogs ('cause BAC and Bobby never had 'em) called Munchies... sells, well, um... munchies... good stuff -- open till 4 am..
Next stop, Boss Tweeds (which i'm not a big fan of -- it's too... normal.. I like NYC nightlife 'cause it's unique... BT just doesn't cut it for me... plus, they wouldn't let us in 'cause apparently there's some dress code and Pete was wearing "baggy jeans" wtf?
Ended up going to some random bar, and then to Penn station for another food-fest...
I guess alcohol and munchies aren't the best way to start out a new year that I'm hoping will be my thinnest one yet?
*shrug* it was a great night which will be remembered for a good long time.
New Years Resolutions and all-around good habits I'm gonna focus on:
1) cardio and abs at least 5 times a week
2) Diet begins tomorrow
3) keep a clean place
4) Clean the car and keep it clean
5) Do CME
6) KIT with good friends
7) 8 glasses (or 64 oz) of H2O a day.
In other news, the play went amazingly well -- and I'm looking forward to another one, but don't know how it can top Oliver! I've gotta get in touch with the cast for a get together sometime soon...
My family was in town two separate times in the last month... It was really great to have them around -- my parents are great, my brother is fun to be around -- it was a lot of fun!! But -- in my small apartment, it's hard to house 4 people -- I've got a lot of clean up to do, lol.
I've also gotta get in touch with my old instructor to find out if he still needs me to teach a nutrition class...
I'm rambling and am gonna get myself anxious if i keep worrying about things to do, so g'night all!
