Yucky week!
Well, I let my yeast get out of control again, which means headaches, body aches, depression, trouble sleeping, flatulence, and a host of other delightful problems, none of which are enough for me to call into work, even if it wasn't December. Blah! No fun at all, but the interesting thing is how quickly your body rebounds...I mean, I'm not even paying proper attention to my diet yet, other than paring off the hedonistic intake of carbs and adding supplements (acidophilus, cranberry, garlic, and calcium), but I can already tell that the headaches are subsiding and that my mood is slowly improving. Gives me the excuse to take better care of myself and slack off a bit, but really sucks for doing stuff like reading and knitting, because I have either no concentration at all, or it's in bursts of 5 minutes at a time. Not really conducive for getting stuff done, like that review for ruthee. May have to skip a couple of sections in that book.
Otherwise, nice informal Yule party at Lynn's this Friday, just potluck at her BEAUTIFUL house; then Saturday we'll do dinner with Steve and Lynn and I'll get to play with Lukas. And touch his little hands. And look at him and look at him and look at him...
And Les doesn't have MS or a tumor or anything; his MRI came back clean, thanks the Gods! His ultrasound for below the waist is Friday, but they don't expect to find anything there either. They're hiring an HR assistant at my work; he's going to try for it...cross your fingers!
