Friends, loved ones, and random people that have never met me:

I am going on a Quest. And I'd like you to go with me.

Where would this Quest take us to? Why, to a grocery store of course. But this would be no ordinary grocery store. This would be a completely random grocery store in the middle of the night that would be a significant walk for the majority of the people going on the Quest. Bear with me, it gets better.

Basically, it would work like this: anyone (and I mean ANYONE) who wants in is in. Hardly talk to me? You're in. Never actually met me? You're in. Not in Spokane? Get the hell up here. Have friends who want in on the Quest? They're in too. Anyone and EVERYONE who wants to go on this can.

Now, this is a Quest. Not some sissy walk. So if you're coming along, you don't just dress up like it's any old day. You dress up in full on BADASSERY. Whatever you want to make this a night to remember. Wear a tie for a belt. Bring a plastic sword. Wear all black and be goth. Wear all pink and act like a Valley Girl. I don't care. Anything that's legal is fair game. The more creative you are, the better this Quest will be.

Why do it? Because we can. I'm tired of walking 5 minutes to the Safeway down the street. I'm tired of walking alone in my regular t-shirt and shorts. I'm tired of lameness. Join me in my Quest, and we will have a night to remember, with meeting new people, having lots of fun, and descending upon a random grocery store. Think of the faces on the store workers. AWESOME. You don't even need to BUY SOMETHING. Just come along. Get some excercise, talk with some friends, meet some new people.

However, there need to be a few ground rules:

1) If you're in, you need to realize what this is. It is going to be a massive walk (not drive, not bike ride, but a walk) to a grocery store. It's aim is to have fun, so if you're going I want you to have a "completely random night of fun" mindset. Not a "why the hell are we doing this" mindset.
2) There will be no drama, and no starting crap with people. You may meet people that you have never met before. Or someone you conflict with will be going along. Don't be a jerk and ruin the night for everyone. Be cool, because that's what this night is going to be all about. I'm hoping that the group will be big enough that this won't be a problem. But if you don't like someone, don't talk to them. I can think of at least 3 martial artists who may be going on it (two that definitely will be) and I have no problem kicking ass and taking names.
3) Everything we do/wear/say/whatever must be legal. No exceptions.
4) I may add rules later.

Finally, I want everyone to do it. Literally everyone that wants to go can go (as long as they understand the rules). Don't tell yourself it'll be lame. Don't tell yourself that you won't be comfortable. Personally, I usually don't do large groups, but I want as many freaking people as possible. This is something creative, fun, and just plain AWESOME. Meet new people, meet new friends. Learn that Spokane isn't as lame as you think it is. Throw away all possible objections, and JUST DO IT. You know you'll like it. Do it. Do it.

I'll be updating this entry as I think of new stuff (such as rules).

POST IF YOU'RE IN. Post if you're thinking about it. Post if you know people who want in. Post any questions you have. Tell EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

Awesomeness begins now.

[edit]

Just thought of this: I do not have a set date in mind. I want to know what people want in, and then we can figure out when people can do this. I want to do it as soon as possible, but I don't want to rush it so that we can get as many people in on this. Awesome. AWESOME. That's all it'll be. But it WILL be late at night. Like after 10-11PM. Think if we did it at like 1AM. We'd be in a big group so we'd be 100% safe, and then it just makes it even cooler.

Oh, and it wouldn't be a HUGE SUPER LONG walk, but it would be a good one. I'll try to find a store that's far enough away so we have a good fun walk, but not one that makes it take an eternity. Think, maybe, like a 20-30 minute walk, hilarity in the store, and then WHO KNOWS after that. Just think of the possibilities.
