A couple of weeks ago I made the decision to start doing my ink work in Manga Studio. I'd been playing around with it for a couple of months, thinking that at some point I'd make the switch. And I did.
The program itself is pretty cool. It's the first program I've used that replicates something of the feel of a brush on paper.
I think this is the third or fourth comic inked digitally. And I'm starting to get the hang of it. What I like about digital inking is the ability to really experiment with the line-work without fear of ruining a week's worth of comic. Hopefully it'll allow me to be a little more expressive. Well, as expressive as my robotic monotone style of cartooning allows.
