Man, this weekend was sooooo much fun. It was a long drive, about 7 hours, though. On Saturday, we woke up and helped one of the owners of the land we were camping on fix up this cabin. I painted the ceiling, replaced window screens, built stair out of rocks, cleared campsites, etc. Then we got to go caving. The entrance to the cave was a 50 ft pit that we rappelled into. It was sooo cool. Once down in the cave there was a big room with lots of tunnels along the border to climb through. I saw two really cute fuzzy bats on the wall of one of the tunnels we were crawling through. Afterwards we ascended out and went back to the cabin to eat dinner. In the middle of the night I woke up in my tent to find water seeping through the bottom of it. I had to gather up some of my stuff and go sleep in the cabin. The next day we helped out in the cabin a little bit and then drove home. It was a totally awesome weekend. I unfortunately didnt take any pictures while on the trip cuz the weather wasnt too favorable. The ones below were taken by a couple in the club who went to the same cave the weekend before. You won't recognize anyone, but you can get an overall view of what went on this weekend since we did all of the same things.
This is the entrance to the cave, it was a big hole in the ground.
This is a view from inside the big room looking up at the entrance.
This is just a random picture from inside the cave
Underneath the big hole in the center of the room there were ferns growing since light and rain can get through.
This is a picute of someone ascending back out of the cave.
