on a happier note...
I'm totally in love with my roommate's dog, Doc. He is the sweetest thing, and has (FINALLY) been potty-trained and is well-behaved. But he has changed sooo much since Julie got him. Here is a timeline of photos:
The day Julie brought him home in SC, with her baby cousin- notice the fluff! (age: 8 weeks)

That is so crazy to me! We used to think he was a poodle/pomeranian mix, but now Julie's family (who own a kennel) think he is part dachshund, part wirehaired terrier. How funny!
