i feel like updating...
I was sitting in church thinking...I should update livejournal. but now i am staring at the screen and don't know what to put...
I can't believe this school year is over. It has flown by sooo fast. I feel like I'm right where I need to be, if that makes any sense. I've gotten to know myself a lot better but still know there is more to discover, I've found a balance of my different groups of friends, I've figured out what I want to do with my life but left room for future changes, I've actually kept my room semi-clean/organized (at least to me) at times, I like being a leader in my sorority (I was most outstanding sophomore this year and I was soooo honored and suprised and proud), I'm becoming more involved in stuff outside KD too, which is also a very good thing. I like living in Massey, and am not too sad to live here again next year, even though my best buddies are moving out.
Some not so goodness...my studying habits- if I really do want to try to get into med school I definitely have to kick the slacker-ness and buckle down soon, my lack of cooking skills/desire (moe's is so cheap and yummy!), my faith has taken a dip for sure...I've been going to church more this semester than last but definitely am searching for a deeper feeling than I currently have...maybe that is what summer is for. Oooh and I can't wait to be able to run in my neighborhood again- no hills.
I miss my house. As much as I am going to miss this place and these people all summer (so long! ah!), I am actually very excited to be going home because I miss my house. When my parents came to help me move my stuff out yesterday I didnt even recognize my dad because he was driving his new truck- I just feel a little disconnected from my roots, ya know?
Things to look forward to this summer: the lake (oh I love the lake!), Musicfest, working at headquarters (such a wonderful place), summer softball (oh yay!), possibly trips to NYC and Miami, my friends I haven't seen in so long, and just being in Memphis-at home- for the summer.
And Margaret, one of my best friends in the world (aka my complicated on facebook), is coming home with me for Musicfest. She is from Pensacola and will be leaving for there from Memphis on Tuesday. So if you want to meet one of the coolest people in the world, you should so stop by my house before then.
