we get a little crazy, but its all in good love....
I love my family. The quince was amazing. I danced with my dad for the first time in my entire life. My family is so huge and crazy but everyone loves each other and has such a good time together. The weekend was so great. I am so proud of where I come from. My cousins and I are all getting so close as we get older, and I love it.
It all started with my great-grandma Beba having 4 kids, who all had kids, who had even more kids...who all grew up in South Florida together (except for us Memphians). And the Suarezes definitely know how to party.
Over 80 people I am related to, all in one room, plus the 70 or so friends of my cousin Katherine (la quincenera)...dancing til 1 am, laughing, and celebrating an important tradition and an even more important value: loving and caring for each other oh so much.
ah, life is good.
