Ok I've realised that this is more or less now shifted from a journal to a "Ben's favourite music (video)" slot. I like to think it gives anyone reading a nice distraction for three or four minutes. I will add a journal entry, but after this...
~ Music Video ~
This is one of my favourite music videos/songs by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The video is just so fun and artistic, and the song gets me pumped every time I hear it. It's a shame they're so filthy.

~ Journal Entry ~
Well, now that you've watched that, I shall write my journal update. I have not been very faithful to this, and I suppose it is a shame that I did not write whilst on break, and doing nothing.
Today was my first day back after a three-week Christmas break (annoying, esp. as today is the 12th day of Christmas) and things are getting off to a steady start. A friend who just graduated last month came to see me this afternoon, on a final visit home (she lives here in Alma) before moving to Detroit. It was one of those strange friendships, but she's a good friend and a very interesting person. It was nice to see her. She said she was just coming to pick up a book she lent me, but I think it was more than that. But enough of girls...
I had an AMAZING break at the Stauffer's and got to spend quality time with many people: Matt Stauffer (We're twins now, according to Abbie), Johannes, Wes, Issac (There was a GREAT night with Issac and Wes), Abbie, the Harburgs and the other Stauffers. Their family is so nice and inspirational. I probably couldn't have survived without them. God bless them.
I have chosen some quite challenging classes this semester, and I really pray for guidance and vision in the next few months, as I am really soul searching into who I am and what I want to do with this short life of mine. A politician? A missionary? A film-maker? A writer? An NGO worker? An academic? All these things have crossed my mind.
"God does not ask us to be successful, he asks us to be faithful"
- Mother Teresa
I am reading a book called An Irresistable Revolution, which Ricke Stauffer bought me, and I'm finding that it's speaking straight to my heart. I can relate to the author so closely - it's about an author's journey to find true Christians and Christianity, and so far (I'm maybe 1/3 through) he's been to Calcutta to meet Mother Teresa (it's at the early 90's now), met Rich Mullins and been through some mini-revivals. Exciting stuff.
God has been speaking to me about faith. What has he been speaking to you about lately?
