*dances* It's snowing! It's snowing! YAY!
I *heart* the first snowfall of the season, especially when we get a couple of inches of accumulation. Everything is all white and glittery and beautiful. *sigh* I just love it!
Did anyone else watch the final part of "Tin Man" last night?
While I wished we had gotten a bit more closure at the end (What happened to the characters after the sun came back out? Did Glitch get his brain back and go back to being Ambrose? Did Cain go back to being a tin man? What happened to DG's robot parents?), I still enjoyed every minute of it. Loved that DG was able to save Az in the end because I was sure that she was going to die in a sacrifcial move to save the O.Z. How creepy was that witch? *shudders* She was right out of my childhood nightmares.
I think my favorite scene was when DG met the Grey Gale. While I knew that Dorothy's last name was Gale and that DG was most likely supposed to stand for Dorothy Gale, it didn't occur to me that DG wasn't supposed to be THE Dorothy in the story, that THE Dorothy was DG's great, great, great grandmother or whatever and DG was just her descendant. Totally blew my mind. It was so awesome when she walked through the door and found the same farmhouse that she'd grown up in and the original Dorothy in her gingham dress...all in black and white! LOVE! What a great tribute to the original movie!
Cain made me cry when he was talking to DG before they snuck into the castle for the final time. When he hugged her after giving her crap for hugging everyone else? Oh man, it was open floodgates, I tell ya. Hee! But the rest of the night I was cheering him on as usual, especially when we found out that he'd locked Zero into the same tin body that he'd been trapped in for so many annuals. How awesome was THAT? WOOT! Go, CAIN!
Although sweet and important to the journey, I didn't care much for Raw in the first two parts of the series. It wasn't until DG was talking to him about his courage that I really connected with him. "Raw did all that...for DG." AWWWWWW! *hugs Raw* I'm putting the whole thing on DVD today so I might see him in a better light a second time around.
Toto is a total badass. 'Nuff said.
As for Glitch, who was probably my favorite character in the whole thing, closely followed by Cain, I loved when they entered the Brain Room and he finally reconnected with the missing part of him. "I'd recognize me anywhere!" Hee! Also loved when he was shocked unconscious and Cain had to revive him and he was all out of it again. "Hello. Do I know you?" Hee! Also, I loved in part two when Glitch was talking about dancing and rhythm and stuff before kicking Longcoat ASS in front of a bemused Cain. "Like I said, it's all about the rhythm." Hell YEAH! Go, Glitch! Alan Cumming is so AWESOME! If he doesn't win an Emmy for playing Glitch, I will be so pissed. In fact, the only person he should feasibly lose it to would be Neal McDonough, as he was fucking awesome as Cain and also deserves an award thrown his way.
Anyway, I hope they release this on DVD one day with lots and lots of special features because I would totally be one of the first in line to buy it. The only thing that would've made this any better was if it had Johnny Depp in it somewhere. Hee!
