Quick meme
Things are much more cheerful this weekend. Phew. (I mean, not in the wider world. But I've had some greatly improved days, which helps.)
The meme gets sorta personal:
9 Are you musically inclined? Do you sing or play an instrument?
Absolutely not at all. I've often thought I'm tone deaf, but I think it's more complicated than that. I've had Radio 3 on for most of lockdown, and I find it soothing background, but I can't really hear much difference between different musics, while other people clearly do. The boyf has been periodically raising his head from whatever he's reading and saying things like "is this Brahms?", in a way that I simply don't tune into the music. I also don't know if it's Brahms because I've no knowledge, but I'm not really hearing it to wonder in the first place. Still, I commend Radio 3 to you anyway. Soothing.
10 Have you ever called someone the wrong name during sex or been called the wrong name by your partner?
*g* Oh, boy. Ignore the sex part, it doesn't need to be that specific. I haven't called anyone the wrong name because for some reason I don't really call people by their names - I've noticed this before, that I don't punctuate any conversation with names, whereas some other people definitely do. The boyf is one, and he has noticeably slipped in lockdown because he's had his kids with him even more than usual, with school closures. So those two are his default names, and he's started calling me either of them at random intervals. Needless to say I am not a 12 year old boy with a moth obsession, so it's more funny than anything.
I'd never tell him, but it does remind me of my dad's mum, who used all three of her children's names pretty interchangeably or in sequence, usually getting the one she meant in the end, blissfully ignoring gender: "Dom- Rick- JENNY!" Given that my dad was an older parent and I remember this really well, they hadn't all lived at home with her for 20 years by then, but it was ingrained.
