Weekend meme
A quiet day today. A good thing, as three of my library reservations turned up at once! (My local libraries are not very good, but I can reserve books from all over London. 60p a time, and I don't have the book left at the end - it's perfect for series I'm reading. Like Phil Rickman's Merrily Watkins mysteries, which is the one I've just got and am reading. They're great, but I don't need to buy them all.)
10 What was the last film you saw at a theatre/cinema?
I've posted on this before, but never mind - it was Little Women, and it was *brilliant*. I really hadn't planned to see it, went in with limited expectations when other plans fell through, and was enchanted. It's a great job of refreshing the way you see a familiar classic, while not losing the sense of familiarity. It's not a reboot, it's a retelling.
11 Have you ever been asked for your telephone number and you didn't want to give it? What did you do?
God, yes. I used to give my old flat number (which was disconnected, so doesn't matter), but now you need mobile numbers and I can't remember old work numbers at all. It hasn't happened lately (I am so old, and also I don't get out much), and I'd probably give my current work number anyway. It would be a bit of distance.
