Three Steps Past Triton (J2, NC17) Masterpost

So here it is: Jensen in spaaaaace, aka the fic that ate my life lately. I hope you enjoy it. And even if you don't, the *art*, people, the *art* you have to see! The ones included in the fic are only half size, so go look at the art post for the real thing. It's glorious.

Ohhhhhh boy, it feels *so good* to post this! And I haven't even really commented on the final edits to the artwork. Ages since I saw the banner and HERE IT IS and it's so beautiful. And everything else in the inline story I was uploading earlier thinking, "Oh, so gorgeous," and "Wow, that one turned out nicely," and "That one! I love that one!" And in the end, it's all of them!

THANK YOU! You made this story infinitely more beautiful, but also so much more real in my head as we discussed it and teased out all that stuff I didn't have on the page but in my backbrain. Yes.

WHEEEEEE!

So many great moments! I loved that Jensen had a legitimately dark past, and that it did come back to haunt him. Also liked that you showed him making the ultimate hard choice--spacing Nate--but only after a trial and following as much protocol as he could.

Thank you! Deb is the space nut, not me, but I was basing my ideas for how things functioned a lot on how ship's captains had to be pre-steam, when they would be out of port for months if not years. So, the ultimate authority on board, but not outlaws. Jensen's very tough, and he's done some very bad things at times, but he's back on a more balanced path now.

I just read this during the last week, and I have to tell you, I love the style of writing. It's like I'm reading it directly from Texan/cowboy Jensen's head, except he's a space pilot. SUCH a GOOD story!
