Oh this was excellent. Drunken Giles as we know and love him, and yet a Watcher to his (reluctant) core. Feel a bit sorry for Matt - he probably just wanted to get laid... :)

Of course, this is before anyone really gets to know the demons, and how they're just like us. *g* Glad you enjoyed it!

Oh, poor Giles. And it took him so long to see and appreciate the validity of the shades of grey, again.
This does go a long way to explaining his up-tightness at first, considering where he had come from.
Very nice.

Thanks! I think having made this kind of bad start, he'd be especially tweedy during Welcome to the Hellmouth.

Brilliant. I didn't think it could go better after that first enchanting line, but it did!
A great portrait of a very complex person.

Tch, I know. But you should always check whether your human can see your demonic characteristics. Even in (koff) intimate moments.

What a *disastrous* night in Sunnydale. Yeah, that would shock Giles good and proper into being, er, good and proper for a long time. He was so insecure in his role for a long time, wasn't he? Took him a while to learn to lighten up with Buffy and even longer to unbend and be himself.

As always, a pleasure to read you! And thank you for participating!
