Indeed. Poor confused boy.

I think this is my first ever Connor ficlet. Last of the major characters that I'd never written. Truly, the Rulesverse gets everywhere.

Poor Connor - he has lived his life purely to be screwed around by everyone... well everyone but Angel and his crew, I guess.

It is indeed tough being a plot device. *g* A thankless role, but now we can play with the happy Stephen mingling with the tragic Connor I find him more interesting.

Wait - wouldn't it be the happy Connor and the tragic Stephen?

*is suddenly confused*

Like you said on another thread - it's a terrible moment in Connor's life, and I wanted to do it justice. Glad you liked.

Wow. This is excellent.

Thanks! It would be interesting to write some Stephen fic looking at this. I will think on it - glad now that I wrote him into the Rulesverse.

Tragically trippy. Connor's life is so insurmountably screwed up that I hope against hope that Stephen is able to take charge - but with superpowers. Thanks for giving Alice a name, too.

I don't know if you've seen Kick-Ass, but there's a similar thing going on there, and it wasn't until I saw a glimmer of sanity for Hit Girl's future that I could relax and enjoy the mayhem. But then I did. Tsk.

Yes, it's incredibly complex to think about, but I hope Stephen can overcome. I'm thinking about exploring it somehow in the Rulesverse; not sure how yet, but now the can is open, the worms are wriggling freely. (I only know Kick-Ass from your recs, but it's an interesting comparison.)
