Doesn't surprise me that ABC/Disney is using their thugs lawyers to intimidate people. It's always attack the messenger, instead of addressing the problems that are being brought to light.
We had a progressive AM station in Columbus for about a year and a half or so. Played mostly air america stuff, with some other syndicated programs. It is owned by Clear Channel, and as of yesterday has now switched to right wing bile from the likes of Michael Savage and Laura Ingraham. As if 610 AM playing Limbaugh and Hannity isn't enough. Now there are two stations spewing their rhetoric and hatred over the airwaves.
I try to listen to it sometimes, but it pisses me off so much to hear the shit that they pass off as insight. Rush Limbaugh with his "Excellence in Broadcasting" bullshit, golden mic etc.
Thank god my car has a CD player. I need to get a new stereo with an AUX in so I can plug in my iPod. At least then I can listen to podcasts of some of the shows I've been listening to on Air America for the last year. I'm really gonna miss Al Franken and Stephanie Miller (though she's on jones, not AAR, but still). I also really enjoyed Rachel Maddow, though I didn't get to listen to her show nearly enough. There is a lot of talent in progressive radio. It saddens me that clear channel is making this obviously political decision, especially as Ohio is showing trends to the left.
Sorry for the long reply, the state of talk radio is something I happen to care a lot about, and it's very recently affected me in undesirable ways since I can't have my fix any more :)
