Well, it finally happened. After acquiring my license, letting it expire, and going through the whole process again, I finally locked it in. It's been a constant ongoing project. As much as a pain graduated licensing is, Im glad I got it done now, as opposed to being in my late 40's and saying "Oh man, I gottsta get started on that." Or even have my G2 expiring the week of my test for my G. Or paying for years of extra insurance from having a G2, as opposed to a G (for any non-Canadians/Ontarioids, I'm not sure of the universal terminology for licenses)
Going for the driving test, no matter how chilled out and relaxed the instructor/tester is, can be quite vexing. No music. Really emphasizing your actions. Them judging. Staring. Critiquing. Trying to see flaws. AND YOU CAN'T SEE ME.
Still, I've had worse passengers, and it ended up being no big deal.
I've never been much of a driver. People think you're a bad driver, so they don't let you practice, and you don't practice, so you are a bad driver. Eventually, you have to take matters into your own hands, and things work out. I got sick of hearing myself complain about not driving. Plus, I view public transportation as an omission of personal failure ;D
I usually fail my first time out on driving tests, so it's nice to hit it out of the park the first time. Now I just have to figure out how to pay for ga$, and I'll have this whole driving thing licked.
