Today on Mythbusters...
My dad came back from a business conference in Las Vegas where Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage from Mythbusters were the guest speakers. It was kind of a Q&A type of deal. The popular question was why they didn't focus on certain kinds of myths (i.e. computer myths). The answer was that the producers want a lot of intense visual stuff like explosions, shooting, heavy machinery, dangerous weapons, and vomiting. Computer myths don't generally involve that kind of stuff. It would involve looking at a screen most of the time.
This is a question that oboe_sama will be interested in. Some guy said, "My son and I are huge fans of your show and he wanted to know if Kari is single." The response was that she is happily married. So I'm afraid that all of Glenn's hopes and dreams are shattered.
My dad said that he got to go backstage to meet Adam and Jamie because he's on the board of directors for the group that organized this whole conference. He got a picture taken with them which we'll be seeing eventually.
