Is anyone else having trouble with Archive of Our Own? Some times stories won't load at all and if they do I can't post a comment. I'm not sure if this is because of my wonky internet connection or not so I'm curious if anyone else if having trouble.

Of course it's just me *sighs* I'm sure it's something in my settings but my tech (aka brother) is on his honeymoon. Oh, well, I can wait a week.

Not a problem from my end. Have you tried cleaning your cache?

Four times and restarted the computer twice. I think I need a new OS. Oh, well, I knew it was going to happen sooner or later.

I'm not having trouble using the Chrome browser.

I've had issues with various sites in the last few months, and sometimes it takes switching browsers. I've got Safari, Firefox, and Chrome loaded, just in case one doesn't work with a particular site. I'm finding that government sites are the most finicky.

I should try Chrome and see if it fixes my problem.

I had problems posting on it this evening via Firefox. I switched to Chrome and that was fine. I've not had any trouble loading stories to read though.

I'm such a luddite I don't understand why one browser works when another doesn't but I guess I'll try another browser.

Well, it can be because you need to clear your cache but it can also be because of what's been set up on add ons. I find Flashplayer doesn't work well with Firefox on my laptop, so I have it disabled in that browser and sometimes that affects things. It's enabled in Chrome as I don't have problems with it there. Also browsers are all different and get updates all the time and sometimes the updates aren't compatible with sites, so a browser that worked one day won't work the next, which is why swapping browsers around often solves the issue. Hope it works for you.

I deleted flashplayer because it was conflicting with all kinds of things. It helped for a bit but now I need to upgrade the OS and I'm such a luddite I need some hand holding.
