AWESOME POEM

I watched the little girl as the tears ran slowly down,
please don't put my mommy in the cold, cold ground.
She's only resting, she'll be awake soon,
She has to be with me to watch cartoons.
She has to take me shopping, I'm getting older you see,
She has to buy me big girl clothes because I just turned three.
She has to bake me cookies so I will have a snack,
Please don't put her down there cause then she can't come back.
She promised me if I was good she'd take me to the park,
Oh, please don't put the dirt on her, it will be too dark.
We always played dress up, I was mommy's little girl,
Who will make me dresses and fix my hair in curls?
My daddy, he can't do it, he's in a grown up place,
And it'll be a long time before I can see him face to face.
People think because I'm small that I dont understand,
But I hear what they are saying even when they don't think I can.
I know he didn't mean it, I even saw him cry,
But I know the grown-ups think daddy wanted mommy to die.
And sadly I sit and wonder what will happen to me,
Who will love me and where will I go, afterall, I'm only three.
