Long overdue haircut and Soto Ayam

Apr 09, 2006 23:57

Mid October 2005 was the last time I did justice to my hair, until today. Have been abusing my hair with repeated colouring and multi-layering, I decided to let my hair took a rest until it's long enough to do away the unbelivable thin ends.
After reading several good reviews about Matsuda and Saito from cozycot, I decided to drop by Maggie & Friends Salon at Club St. today. Had my haircut and coloured by Matsuda san. He is a friendly and careful Jap hairstylist as he kept asking if I was happy with the result or he would do necessary change if need be. I love the colour that he chose and my hair is neater now. Will visit him again for sure. To date, I have chosen to keep my hair grow longer and skip bold hairstyles, as what I had been doing last year, for the upcoming weddings of my cousin's and bestie's. Such a vainpot! ha..ha..

Flashback on what I've done today, -
Woke up pretty late today and had to rush for Gita's birthday lunch. We had a fabulous Soto Ayam (Indonesian style of traditional chicken soup), perkedel (fried smashed potatoes mixed with ground beef), beancurd and tempeh in sweet soy sauce and birdnest as dessert (using agar-agar as birdnest's substitute). Her mum brought lots of Indonesian processed  bumbu (mixture of spices for cooking essence) several days ago. Thanks, Auntie!
It was a lovely lunch and small gathering. Pity that I forgot my camera today. I also skipped the cake as I need to rush down to Club St.

Enjoyed my time at the salon as it is such a small and cozy one, pretty much different from those I've been visiting before. I love the reclining chair and massage during shampoo-ing! Went down to Chinatown, and surprisingly, I felt good just by walking around in the bright and breeze afternoon. It's quite a long time since my last visit to Chinatown. Each time, it was crowded and bustling as ever. However,  this afternoon was one pretty quiet Chinatown and I love it!

Took MRT back and dropped by Guardian on the way home. My left arm has been aching since yesterday and it's confirmed because of EL sale. Quoting Caro's analysis, left arm was used to carry that heavy bags while right arm was busy grabbing and stuffing the bag ha..ha..ha..
It's still sore now and 2 patches of Chilli brand plasters are sticked to my arm. I hope it will get better tomorrow as I can't use the arm to carry any heavy thing now.
