The Week of All the Writing + FIC
I've been on vacation this week, friends. There was supposed to be a road trip, and touristy things, but it got canceled. And I have to say, I'm pretty glad. It's been wonderful just lounging around the house, staying up late and sleeping in the next day. And the best thing of all: no need to wear a bra! ::grins::
I did one fill-in shift at second job on Monday, and have been home free since then. And I'll tell you what. I've had ALL THE WORDS. For serious. I've been making myself sit at the kitchen table instead of the comfy couch, kept the TV off, and wrote all the things. Some prompts, a movie fusion that I pumped over 6k words into in one day, and almost nothing that I had planned to work on. Of course! LOL!
Clocked in a total of almost 17k words since Saturday. Outrageous!
Already dreading heading back to work. Sunday for second job, Monday for first job. And then I feel like all my words will dry up. But I feel like I made excellent use of my week off. Now to see about some house cleaning. Bah.
Oh, and I just now got some great news! My brother's five-month legal battle is finally over! Whew. I'm not going to miss going to court every month, I can tell you that. And despite the fact that my brother is a huge idiot, and probably should've had more severe consequences for what he did, we've definitely grown closer thanks to those court days. Now if only he can keep himself out of trouble.
