Here are some positive things today:
  • I have FINALLY watched Captain America: Winter Soldier. Just as angsty as advertised. LOL! There were no real surprises - I'd already read too many fics and spent time on Tumblr which is full of gifs - but it was nice finally seeing the source material. I can see what the draw is for Bucky. The scene where he ( Read more... )

It's funny you should post about finally watching Winter Soldier, as I have *just* finished rewatching it (my friends and I are doing a marvel rewatch). Good movie, though I am forever sad that it didn't make me ship Steve/Bucky...I mean, I teared up at the end and I want them to be happy, but on the whole I was not motivated to search out fic or anything. WHYYY SELF.

i'm glad your hubby's lungs were clean :)

I'm not running off looking for fics either, though I can see that Bucky would be a very interesting character to play with. I think he's far too broken at this point to ship with anyone, though I can support the strength of his bromance with Steve as being the thing that helps turn him around. My shippy take-away from the movie was Sam/Steve.

Thanks! Clean lungs are definitely good. I don't know where all the hacking is coming from, though. He's lucky he's still alive, because at 3am when all that noise was keeping me awake I wanted to smother him with a pillow. Grr.

A lot of people ship that too :D I am unfortunate in that I shipped Steve/Tony because of the comics, and once I ship something I can't ship them with others~ But I am CERTAIN there is a ton of great fic out there :D You know, if you're inclined. PLEASE DON'T ABANDONED SGA COMPLETELY THOUGH.

lol i totally understand being kept awake and wanting to smother the person for it

I was always kind of fond of Steve/Tony myself. But don't worry, I have no burning desire to go in search of fic for this fandom, or to write any. Actually, the only MCU stuff I read is generally in snippets posted on the Shoobie comm, or written by friends.

I COULD NEVER ABANDON SGA!! ::grins:: Those are the boys of my heart.

I would be totally understanding if you did experience a burning desire to search for fic. But I have pretty much lost contact with bomberqueen17 because she started writing MCU and has left her SGA fics unfinished. Which is totally her right! And I hope she's happy and having fun :D But I would be very sad to lose you too!

I'm not going anywhere, trust me. I have so many SGA stories still to tell! Honestly, I don't think I have room in my brain for another fandom right now. Bad enough I'm neglecting my other two. ::grins::

I'm glad you're relieved. I'm not - I still have to write all the darn things! LOL!
