First Days at Emory
OK guys, I’m gonna make this short and hit the high points because 1) I don’t have a lot of time and 2) no one really cares anyway.
Left home Thurs morning. The drive was ok. My dad drives too fast, my mom yells at him, they fight, the usual-except for 11 hours. That was exciting.
Got to Atlanta. Showed my parents the school. Looked around the city.
Friday morning I checked in and went to move in. I was upset/disappointed with it at first, but once we put all my stuff in and organized, it’s great. I love my room.
My roommate was away on a pre-school trip thing, so I didn’t meet her (even though she moved in mostly on Wed) until about ½ hour ago.
So Friday we set everything up, went to stores, bought things, set those things up. I have plenty of space and stuff and storage and room. I’m really happy with it.
I kicked my parents out and slept in the dorm Friday night by myself. I was totally fine but I went to sleep at 2 am b/c I was setting up my wonderful internet.
Saturday was move in day for everyone else. It was a MADHOUSE. I’m so glad I moved in early. We did orientation type stuff on Saturday and got all kinds of paper work and information. I am totally booked solid all week. It’s nuts.
I register on Monday and then classes start on Thursday. Nervous much?
We had a party thing tonight and met lots of people. Everyone is really friendly. It’s great, I’m really happy.
I hope all of you guys who are at school are having as much fun as I am and those of you who aren’t will be.
