(no subject)
Well, I had said that I would be riding horses and lounging about in a farm house in Slovenia for my break, but unfortunately my roommate and I got misdirected and ended up in the noth of the Czech Republic in some nowhere town. We ended up settling for a weekend in Prague and were completely floored as to how we made it hundreds of kilometers away from our intended destination. Prague was amazing though, so I guess it was worth it. It´s a damn good story for the kids anyway!
Aaaahhh, so here I am in Mallorca, Spain, as of Monday. Today I rode my first Andalusian horse. If you don´t know what that is, they are absolutely gorgeous and I`ve been wanting to get my hands on one for pretty much my whole life. The guy in charge was kind enough to let me gallop as much as I wanted around the beach/forest place where we were. I´ll be sooo sore tomorrow, but it was totally fantastic.
Afterwards, I jumped into the Mediterranean, even though it´s far too cold to be swimming this time of year. It was awakening at any rate. I leave for Ireland on Saturday, so it will be wonderful to be back there. I can´t really wait. I actually want to see if I can track down more horse riding excursions. If that doesn´t happen, I´ll at least rent a bike so I can see the countryside more.
