Karal was coming back today. Molly didn't even consider the chance that something would keep him in Valdemar. And, as usual, he would be coming to her room after his class to crash

Karal had been exhausted when he'd made his way to Molly's room. For the first time in months he was blissfully stress free, and he'd been deeply asleep in seconds.

So deeply asleep, in fact, that his only reaction was to make a very puzzled noise and turn a little, trying to curl onto his side, smiling in his sleep at the sudden warmth.

As Karal turned, Molly shifted so that she slid off his back and could nestle in the space he made. She left an arm and a leg draped over him and grinned more to see the smile on his face.

He sighed and moved closer, hands tucked under his chin, and pressed his face into the warm hollow where her shoulder met her neck.

Molly sighed again and started to stroke Karal's hair.
