Molly really wasn't sure why, but she was more nervous about her appearance tonight than she had been for Homecoming.
She'd thought ahead and brought along the outfit that Alex and Jake had brought back for her from their vacation, but she had a moment of panic when she realized that she'd forgotten to bring along appropriate shoes. Finally, she just decided to go barefoot. The party was just downstairs so it wasn't like she needed to go outside at all.
She spent the most time on her hair, trying to decide how to wear it. She finally just decided to leave it down, but stuck with her plan to not wear a hat.
She hoped Ray would come by soon so that she would quit thinking about it.
