After church chior rehearsal this evening, Ken, the chior director, asked me if I'd be interested in performing a couple of solo numbers during the service Christmas morning. I agreed, and he produced arrangements of "Quelle est Cette Odeur Agreable? (Whence is that goodly fragrance flowing?)" and "Gesu Bambino". These are good pieces for me, not only because I'm pretty familiar with both of them, but also because, between the two of them, they showcase both ends of my range; "Gesu Bambino" rests in my chest voice, while "Quelle est..." is in my head range. I'm looking forward to performing them both.
