The first thirteen years of my life I’ve been brought up by Jedi. They taught me that I Jedi shouldn’t have any possessions and therefore shouldn’t have lovers. That still makes me wonder how they keep themselves from extinction..
Naturally, back then, my answer would have been "no".
The past ten years, I’ve spent with Xanatos, though, and he showed me how much emotions can teach me, how much I can draw from them and how exquisite this rush of adrenaline in a fight - or any other extreme situation - is.
I’ve never experienced it, but I do believe that this sudden rush of emotions when you see someone for the first time can happen. And it does, probably more often than we realise. I think most people ignore this feeling of “love at first sight”; they push it away, afraid they could get hurt in the process.
Or they push it away because they don’t want to admit it, or because they aren’t allowed to love, ashamed to confess it.
Me? I’ve learned to trust and to use my emotions, to cherish every of them, not trying to control or suppress them.
