Winry was nearly skipping home, she had just learned the most amazing thing: She was finally getting real recognition for her skills. A customer had travelled from Aerugo, Aerugo, just to get a custom automail leg. A custom automail leg designed by her.
When she found Ed in his office he was bent over some letters from Al, scribbling furiously in his notebook. When she shared her news he shouted his joy right along with her. As she explained the specifics needed in her new design, though, she could tell for all the effort he was giving Ed wasn’t understanding much; love him to death, but he never did understand the schematics of what she did. “So, how was your day?”
He grinned wide and began to prattle on about a Palladium isotope Al had found that reacted wildly to what little Alkahestry they knew. Winry had no idea what any of it meant, but she smiled and nodded the whole way through, thrilled at the breakthroughs he was making in the field he loved.
