In which I get a leg up

And have had it up for several days, actually. Thursday I got laser ablation surgery on my right leg, to forestall the venous stasis problems my left leg development. The surgery went very smoothly and recuperation isn't really bad, it's just annoying. The compression stockings never give my legs a moment's rest, whereas the organic pain I usually deal with comes and goes and eddies and can be lost in distractions for a while and like that. It looms large in my consciousness without really being as big a problem as lots of other stuff.

I will be glad when recuperation's done, though. :)
