This crazy love for yaoi!
Sometimes I wander why do I love yaoi manga and anime so much...
Such a profound question, right? It should go together with what is my purpose in life, and etc, etc...
I still remember the time when I thought shoujo was awesome, and nothing could beat it. Boy, was l wrong.
Don't get me wrong, I still love some shoujo titles, but after entering the wide world of yaoi, my heart was stolen, and everything since then started to fade before my eyes.
To be honest, I don't remember which yaoi manga was my first, or when did this addiction embraced me, and never really will let me go.
So starting to think why oh why I love to read this stories where I know would never happen to me, because, well, I'm a GIRL, so I guess Usagi-san would never give me the time of day. What a cruel world I live in *cry*
And why do I get so happy when I see hot sexy man end up in love with another hot sexy man, or why do I cheer them on when I see them dismissing the woman around them? For all we know I could be one of those woman (...well not really, I like to think that I don't act like most woman in yaoi act...because let's face it, they are always annoying ˆˆ' )

Let's stop with the questions, and start with the answers, it's about time already!
I love yaoi because I think the plots varies so much more than shoujo ever will. The characters are always somehow cuter, or hotter, or their problems makes so much more sense than the always complicated girls in some shoujos around the world. Of course, there is sometimes a little of a repetition, but depending of the mangaka, even the most used plots can turn out to be one of the greatest of works.
And I guess even the art in yaoi varies more, and from time to time I will get myself finding ˜this˜ character beautiful, when not so long ago I would have found it ugly. (...I'm a complicated and strange person ˆˆ')
My favorites mangakas have such different styles, that sometimes I take myself thinking what I don't I like in yaoi ˆˆ'

Yamano Ayane (favorite manga: Crimson Spell)
Kotobuki Tarako (favorite manga: Sex Pistols)
Ougi Yuzuha (favorite manga: Abiru Junjou)
