3. (2.16) "Q Who?" - The extra-dimensional being Q tries to prove that Picard needs him as part of Enterprise's crew by hurling the starship 7,000 light years away, where they encounter the Borg Collective for the first time. John de Lancie, Whoopi Goldberg and Colm Meaney guest starred.

7. (5.19) "The First Duty" - Cadet Wesley Crusher and his pilots team have an accident at Starfleet Academy. A visiting Picard, who offers to help Starfleet's investigation, begins to suspect the cadets are hiding something. Robert Duncan McNeill, Ray Walston and Ed Lauter guest starred.

8. (5.26-6.01) "Time's Arrow" - An archeology team uncovers a 500 year-old artifact - Lieutenant-Commander Data's head - on Earth. When Picard and his crew investigate the possibility of aliens visiting Earth's past, Data winds up in 1893 San Francisco. Jerry Hardin and Whoopi Goldberg guest starred.

9. (2.03) "Elementary, Dear Data" - Lieutenant Geordi LaForge and Dr. Katherine Pulaski attempt to provide Data with a challenging Sherlock Holmes holodeck program. But it backfires when the Professor Moriarty character accidentally becomes self-aware. Daniel Davis guest starred.

10. (3.26) "The Best of Both Worlds: Part 1" - Picard and the Enterprise crew respond to a distress call from one of the Federation's outer-most colonies. But when the starship arrives, the crew finds a big hole in the ground, where the town used to be. They also discover that the Borg are behind the attack. Elizabeth Dennehy, George Murdock, Colm Meaney and Whoopi Goldberg guest starred.

Honorable Mention: (5.24) - A transporter malfunction, combined with a Romulan ship under stress and a damaged cloaking device, creates the illusion that LaForge and Ro are dead. The two officers struggle to dispel that belief. Michelle Forbes guest starred.
