What's on your bedside table?

An LED alarm clock, a Sparcstation 5 plus external speakers (bedterm and bedmp3!), a glass of water, a lamp, a few New Scientists, a copy of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and The Salmon of Doubt

What do you eat when you raid the fridge at night?
I only do this when at homehome in Germany for some reason. Usually smoked cured ham.

What is your secret guaranteed weeping movie?
Magnolia was the last, I think.

If you could have plastic surgery, what would you have done?
A less big head so I can wear more hats? :)
The points put back on my canines, but I've said that before.

Do you have a completely irrational fear?

I sometimes find myself fearful about the answers to the simplest of questions.

What is the little physical habit that gives away your insecure moments?

I don't know. You tell me.

Do you ever have to beg?

I beg for a job every day.

Do you have too many love interests?

No.

Do you know anyone famous?

Stephen Hawking is the father of my best and longest-standing friend.
I also know various famous biochemistry-related people through my parents (Watson & Crick spring to mind).
And the man in the Lemsip max strength ads is a friend of my cousin's. :)

Describe your bed

Probably too soft (it's quite old now). Stripey in various shades of brown, in a way that only the 70s knew how. Disturbingly, I was probably conceived in it.

Spontaneous or plan?

I have been convinced of the merits of spontaneous.

Who should play you in a movie about your life?

Ewan MacGregor being English and black-haired in Moulin Rouge reminded me a lot of me, as I recall.

Do you know how to play poker?

No, nor any other card games.

What do you carry with you at all times?

The keys to at least two cars; phone when I remember it; Palm when I remember it; overstuffed wallet; the wristwatch I got for my 18th birthday.

How do you drive?

Like each drive was my last. Meditatively. Fast on occasion. And I have a strategy of "assume other road users will do the most stupid of the options available to them" seems to work. I worry about driving too fast for my passengers, too, so usually drive very boringly unless alone.

What do you miss most about being little?

Having nothing to worry about.

Are you happy with your given name?

I was given my middle name (Thomas) in case I didn't like Arthur, but I still seem to be using it. I sometimes find myself jealous of other people's names.

How much money would it take to get you to give up the Internet for a year?
£82950.
The price of the Aston Martin for sale at Oselli, of course. :)
I might even settle for the price of a Vincent (~£10k).

White.

Have you ever been in a school play?

The only one I can remember is Aristophanes' Die Vögel (in German), of which my most abiding memory is a fantastically uncomfortable headdress.

The ones I have, and the ones I will make.

Yes.

More than I used to.

No.

I've been told I am, but I'm not sure I believe it yet.
