update!
I haven't updated here in ages and decided it was time. And I do have alot to update on :)
I don't know who all is aware of it but I have a niece. She turned 1 yr old yesterday ( thursday ) , and she is so cute ^_^. I took my drivers test yesterday as well, and failed due to the lady i got being picky, and FINDING things to dock me marks on . I'm going back on January 4th if all goes well.
I also have a new bf as of August, who I'm very happy with. We are going out to a concert for his friend's choir tomorrow night. That should be interesting. Classical music :)
I've graduated highschool, and have finished my time with E.L.M. , sad.. i kinda miss the kids sometimes.. i was going through withdrawl or something for a while there. I'm currently unemployed... which is not my ideal situation, but I have an upcoming opportunity that im jumping on.
I applied last year to the Katimavik program, a program that would let me travel around Canada some, meet new people, have fun, and learn some new skills that could help me decide what path i want to take in life. I hadn't gotten accepted last yr so I'd more or less given up on it, but on wednesday this week I got a call. They had space on a replacement list,in case there were people who were unable to stay in the program for some reason. I got the e-mail they sent, printed out all the forms i have to have, and started filling them in . I have a medical schedualed for Friday of next week ( which im not looking forward to ), and have spoken to the local OPP about a Criminal Record Check, which are both mandatory to be accepted into the program. It was still pretty up in the air though, seeing as I was only on the replacement list. However, this afternoon I got a call, they offered me a reserved spot in the February start program. Of course I accepted.
Provided all my paperwork goes through alright, I will be away from home from Feb.2 -Aug. 31. I will be way up north , somewhere around Iroqois Falls, wherever that is, then in Quebec, and then in Hazelton BC.
I'm very excited that this came through for me, I really didn't expect it to. The down side to this is that I will miss spending valentines day with my bf :(, and I wont be able to be there for my cousin's wedding in August. My being gone also means that my brother and his gf will be forced to find someone else to watch the baby, since come january, they will both be in school.
I'm also just generally not looking forward to being away from Greg for 7 months. Besides the fact that I'm going to miss him terribly, he has expressed some concern about being able to maintain a long distance relationship for that long, which obviously makes me a little concerned about being dumped part way through. I would be able to make calls now and then, and e-mail back and forth, and send pictures back should I decide to take my digital camera with me. So we wouldn't be entirely out of touch.
I guess I just need to talk to him, and let things play out.
