Somethings New

Say goodbye to week five of my sophomore year at BU. It feels like I've been here for a lot longer. Red Sox are still playing though, so that's proof it's still early in the year.

Babysitting yesterday was so amazing. These two girls (Olivia is 6 and Annie is 4) are the cutest little girls ever. The first thing they wanted to do was show me every item they owned. So they did. And it was so much fun. During shower time they were having a water fight and would have stayed in there all night if I let them. When I left they gave me hugs and I almost forgot I had another life. Kids are the best therapy, and I cannot wait to see them again :).

I think I aced my Italian quiz today. For once I really understood the questions I was answering. Definite props to my ERC tutor who isn't even studying Italian, but ancient Greek. Go figure. Bio lab was a complete waste of time today...what else is new. But blast from the past...the UA in that class was none other than Josh from last year (yah, most of you know who I'm talking about). It was surprisingly not awkward though. I can't believe it's already been a year since that.

On the way home I decided to buy a plant. So $8 later I now have a yellow plant in the cactus family which only needs to be watered every 7-10 days. Hopefully I won't kill it this time *embarrased face*. Walking home through all the Red Sox fans (going the COMPLETE opposite way than everyone else) I felt like I should be skipping or something because of the basket of yellow flowers in my hand. "Oh look at the little innocent girl just trying to get home to care for the plant." :) Of course when I get home I discovered a package was waiting for me. To my surprise it was more plant mating mechanisms (ie: flowers, man biology is getting to me) from my mommy. So now my room is not only a greenhouse in that the humidity today is melting me, but it is now home to two bright happy plants.

Tomorrow we have big plans for fun. Hopefully it includes shopping, making money (ie: babysitting) and perhaps a manicure? Tonight...hockey game. Go Terriers!

I'm online by the way singing the national anthem. Go check it out at http://www.bu.edu/phpbin/news-cms/news/?dept=4&id=36640&template=7 I'm #3!

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!!
