I hope you had the time of your life

So everything's coming to an end...

Debate ended with(out) a bang. The last tournament of our careers ended at a tournament where we didn't even break. It was some consolation when people at the tournament heard from their friend's coach's brother's friend's mother that we didn't break, so maybe we deserved it or something. I didn't really care about that. It was more sad that it's all over. Oh well. It just felt weird that even though I left saying "oh don't worry I'm gonna come visit you," it wasn't true for most people and I'm never gonna see them again. Eh, what can you do; I knew it was gonna happen when i started in 9th grade because that's the same thing my brother went through.

And then there's high school. The last day of school was weird, but fun at the same time. It was only partially sad cause I'm kind of sentimental, but it was good to know that I don't have to deal with the stupid things about NFA anymore. Graduation is in a few days and Porps needs to help me finish my speech.

Prom was awesome. It was much more than I expected, and I mutually concluded with everyone else that it was MUCH better than junior prom. The slideshow was a little redundant, and the amount of "last song"s were only outnumbered by the amount of times the DJ said "SENIORS, WHERE ARE YOU?????" But other than that it was awesome. I didn't stop dancing or smiling. I owe most of it to my wonderful date Micaela who, although she couldn't put the flower on my jacket correctly, was awesome...and a great dancer, too. Thanks.

Now I can enjoy the summer and do as I please. My mom will be much more lenient seeing as this is the last summer. The only thing is that some of my best friends won't be around to share it with me.

Yeah so I'm not usually this pessimistic, but I think I should get some leeway considering the circumstances.
