My much loved handraised rainbow lorikeet flew away this afternoon :-((((
My husband left his cage door open by accident, just like he did with my handraised galah 3 years ago.
I am so devastated and blubbering like an idiot at the moment :-((((
The girls and I walked the neighbourhood calling to him and put up posters in a space of 3 hours, and I have the same feeling again, he won't find his way back home just like Birdo the galah.
It hurts because Sunny is so young and handraised and loved and cared for and it's at night right now and at this time we are usually bringing him inside, covering him up for the night and he always says "nigh night" and we say it back to him "nigh night"
