man, I'm no good at updating this thing lately. I keep thinking about it, then when I have my computer in front of me I'm just too lazy! So right now I'll try to do a real post.
Work is good. It's way easier than I expected and more interesting too! I'm sure it might get dull eventually, but it's neat right now b/c it's a lot of stuff I've never done before. All my co-workers seem fine. Mostly older people, like 30's and 40's and up, but there are some younger ones too.
My first couple of days were sort of funny because Lexi was in Australia and a lot of people thought I was her. They kept saying to me "lexi, did you cut your hair?" "you look different..." "you're back already?" It was funny, but it also got pretty annoying.
So, I'm doing shipping, but also some random computer filing/paperwork, so I get an office! I get to share it with Dustin who I've known since middle school and is one of my best friends. The bad thing about it is that we are between our 2 bosses. One of the good things about it is that we have floor to celeing windows! (there are a lot of people who have been there way longer who don't have windows!) oh yeah, it also serves as storage for foam that we use for shipping.
Last weekend we had a 4 day weekend for Thanksgiving, so we borrowed Lexi's boyfriend's car and drove to the tri-cities. We got to see a lot of old friends and our family so it was nice, but the drive was just long and miserable. Plus, on the way home I got my first speeding ticket!! I was clocked by a helicopter doing 81 in a 65. I was lucky though, b/c earlier I was going pretty steady at 90 and had gotten up to 105 at times!
I can't wait for this weekend. Lexi is going to show me around and we might go to a bar one night! :) We work from 8:30 to 5:30 everyday, so we don't really get to be in the sun much, so I just want to hang out outside all weekend. We actually get to be outside quite a bit doing shipping, but it's a little different when you're working!
I really want to go out and meet people. I miss being around a lot of people. I dream about Bellingham pretty often. I want to meet some boys here.
speaking of boys, Mark (robbins, not metzger) sent me my fish pillow! He also put in some pictures of himself at the bars drinking WITH MY FISH, and a box of chocolates! oh boys. bah.
I think that about sums up what's going on with me lately.
